wiiw Monthly Database on Central, East and Southeast Europe

The wiiw Monthly Database contains about 1800 time series of key economic indicators for countries in Central, East and Southeast Europe.
The database
  • permits a timely discovery of trends
  • allows a more detailed analysis than annual data
  • starts for most time series in 1990 or 1991, for some Southeast European countries from 2000
New
  • As of January 2011 time series for the three Baltic countries - Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania - are included in the wiiw Monthly Database.
  • From 1, January 2011 Estonia is covered in Euro.
Up to and including 2010 all time series in EKK – in nominal and real terms - as well as the exchange rates have been divided for statistical purposes by the conversion factor 15.6466 (EKK per EUR) to EUR-EKK – a kind of statistical EUR.
  • The former fields of "index type" and "dimension" have been merged into one field called "unit".
